Clearing Today; Possible Sprinkles Tomorrow; Cold Temps Thursday into the Weekend

Clouds Have Cleared

The clouds and storms are gone.  As details about the tornado outbreak last night arrive, we’ll post them to Twitter.

Weak surface ridging will build in this afternoon and tonight – therefore, no rain, high temps this afternoon in the upper 60°s. Temps will fall into the upper 40s by sunset.

Wednesday – Sprinkles Possible

Cooler air returns early Wednesday morning, but no frozen precip. Early morning low in the mid 40°s will warm to the upper 50°s in the afternoon.

A few splash-and-dash showers could push through Davidson and Williamson Counties around mid-afternoon, but these will be of little/no consequence.

Cooler Temps Thursday Morning – Rain Thursday Night

A broad area of high pressure located over the Great Plains will turn our winds to the north and bring much cooler air. Some of us could see a light frost in the early morning as temps start out in the mid/upper 30°s.

Rain chances increase Thursday evening as an inverted surface trough develops to our west and pushes east.

As of now, this will be a quick, drenching rain followed up by very cold temperatures.

The Weekend

By Friday evening the rain should be gone with another shot of cold air filtering in. Overnight lows in the low 30°s.

Saturday and Sunday look clear and cold! Highs in the low/mid 50°s, morning lows close to, maybe even below, freezing.
