Rain/Few Storms Today; Heat And Humidity Return For Weekend

Rain With A Few Storms

A shortwave trough will push the stalled front through Middle Tennessee today, causing some showers/storms throughout the day. We could see 0.1″ to 0.3″ of rain here in Nashville, but local amounts should be higher if you’re caught beneath a downpour.

Overcast, rainy skies will keep the high temp in check. High temps in the mid 80s with dewpoints in the upper 60s.

Once the front drops to the south and east of us, rain should taper off into the evening hours W of 65, later E of 65. Dry air will spill down into Williamson and Davidson counties overnight. Enough dry air to squash storm formation, not enough to break the humidity.

Saturday

Expect to see some fog and low clouds in the morning. These will lift after sunrise, leaving us with mostly clear skies. High temps will warm into the low 90s, and the humidity will be uncomfortable.

Popcorn showers in the afternoon. If you’ve got plans, keep a radar nearby in case of a passing storm as predicted by the 3km NAM below.

Hot & Humid Start To The Week

A large, upper ridge will stretch eastward beginning Sunday. Rain/storm chances will be kept to the afternoon. High temps will return to the low 90s for most of next week.

Stay tuned as we continue to update you on your weekend forecast!
