Wet At Times, Clearing Rainbow
We expect the light rain to continue on/off through the evening. By midnight, rain will be winding down and moving east of us.
Minimal Sunshine, Still Very Warm
Wednesday and Thursday will remain warm, despite a good bit of cloud cover. Tonight’s rain should end during the AM hours of Wednesday. A slight chance of showers exists for Thursday, but nothing too significant that would warrant changing your plans. Check out the highs for these two days, both well into the 70s:
Storms Return to End the Week
A cold front and decent amount of energy way up in the atmosphere will allow for showers and a few thunderstorms on Friday. We are monitoring this system very closely, because one or two of these storms could become strong/severe. There are several limiting factors in play, one being moisture. Models have flip-flopped so far on whether or not we get to see rain, but all signs point to at least a few isolated rumblers Friday afternoon, perhaps into very early Saturday morning.

The latest SPC outlook keeps the main threat for severe weather (hail, strong winds) to our north, but not by much, which is why we will be watching for any changes this week:
Besides any storminess, Friday’s winds could gust as high as 25 mph, so be sure to bring extra hairspray/gel.
Temps Drop to More Seasonal Levels, Before Another Warm Spell
Saturday will be about 20º cooler than Friday, thanks to our friend “the cold front”. Finding temperatures warmer than the 50s this coming weekend will be hard to find, but by next Monday, another warm up looks to be in play. Watch the GFS spread the yellows and oranges (hotter temps) our way before another cold front mid-week:
